KCP Foundational Research Question

Can geometry itself become an informational medium?

Traditional communication theory treats geometry primarily as the pathway through which information travels. KCP proposes investigating whether geometry, resonance, timing, environmental context, and wave relationships can themselves encode, preserve, transform, or reveal information.

This shifts the central question from:

"How do we transmit information?"

to:

"Where does information actually reside?"

If information is relational rather than purely symbolic, then the geometry of propagation may itself become part of the communication protocol rather than merely its conduit.

This hypothesis does not require new physics. It proposes investigating whether existing wave phenomena, relational geometry, and environmental interactions provide an overlooked layer of information processing and communication.

We didn't begin by trying to invent a better communication protocol.

The questions have gradually become more fundamental:


  1. What is communication?
  2. What is meaning?
  3. Where does information live?
  4. Is information a property of symbols—or of relationships?
  5. Can geometry itself participate in communication?
  6. Is the environment part of the message?
  7. Can communication be understood as the organization of relationships rather than the transmission of symbols?

That's a very different trajectory than where we started with knots and waveforms. Those early ideas weren't discarded—they became examples of a broader principle.

Our journey began without the aim of creating a superior communication protocol. Instead, it has evolved naturally, prompting us to explore fundamental questions about connectivity and interaction, focusing on how we share information with one another.

And example we are considering 

A waveguide is fundamentally a geometry that governs the interactions among waves.

That observation fits remarkably well with KCP's philosophical direction.

Rather than treating communication as the mere movement of symbols from A to B, KCP increasingly views it as the controlled organization of relationships among waves, timing, location, resonance, phase, and environmental context.

This suggests several research questions:

  • Can geometry itself become part of the communication protocol?
  • Can the structure through which a signal propagates carry information independent of the signal?
  • Can environmental resonance function as an active participant in communication rather than simply introducing noise?
  • Could engineered wave paths create new communication behaviors not achievable through conventional digital encoding?

These questions remain entirely within known physics while opening new avenues for theoretical investigation.
